Bayern Munich have agreed a fee for Harry Kane’s transfer with Tottenham – and Jamie Carragher and Mark Goldbridge had different feelings on social media.
The 30-year-old England captain now has a direct choice between Tottenham and Bayern, as personal terms must be agreed with the Bundesliga side.

Meanwhile, another major problem for Kane is that a move to Bayern would limit his chances of breaking Alan Shearer’s goalscoring record.

And while Carragher believes Kane must stay in the Premier League, in order to break the record, Goldbridge’s view is different.

Taking to Twitter, Carragher responded to reports regarding Kane’s agreement with Bayern Munich by saying: “Alan Shearer’s goal record speaks volumes for so much more than a PL winners’ medal.
“This record would be massive for Hong Kong. The big advantage of going to Bayern is the guarantee that they play top-flight football, and the chance to win this trophy every season.
“It’s not about their domestic titles, they’ll win it anyway and I’m sure he’d rather have a PL record than the Bundesliga!”
