But the Red Devils’ pursuit of the Fiorentina player could be hijacked by Juventus, who have turned their attention towards the player.
It comes after Juventus sold Denis Zakaria to Monaco, with the Turin-based club looking to replace the Swiss midfielder.
according to SportsSporting director Cristiano Giuntoli wants Amrabat to replace Zakaria, with the club ready to suggest a number of exchange opportunities.

If Juventus sign Amrabat, Man United will be stuck and not complete the transfer immediately.
But Ten Hag could return to the table in the coming days once Fred completes his move away from Old Trafford.

Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek have also been linked with moves away from Man United.

Amrabat, meanwhile, spent three seasons at Fiorentina and played in the 2022 World Cup where he cemented his reputation in Qatar.
